Chililabombwe Municipal Council is among the local authorities participating in the Electoral Commission of Zambia (ECZ) Early Warning System training being held at Moba Hotel in Kitwe. Other participating councils include Chingola, Kitwe, Mufulira, and Kalulushi.
The training has brought together representatives from the respective districts, including District Electoral Officers (DEOs), District Voter Education Coordinators (DVECs), members of the Conflict Management Secretariat, Chairpersons of the Conflict Management Committees, two Voter Education Trainers from each district, and a representative of the Zambia Police Service serving on the Conflict Management Committee.
The three-day training programme commenced on Tuesday, 7th July 2026, and concludes today, Thursday, 9th July 2026. The initiative is aimed at strengthening the ECZ’s Early Warning System by enhancing participants’ capacity to identify, monitor, and respond to potential electoral conflicts, thereby promoting peaceful, credible, and transparent electoral processes.
