SOLAR STREET LIGHTS, CASSAVA MARKET SHELTER AND COUNCIL ISHUKO OFFICES CONTRACTS SIGNED

Chililabombwe Municipal Council has today signed contracts with three local contractors for the implementation of developmental projects in the district.

The projects include the installation of solar street lights along Kawama Road, construction of a cassava market shelter in Kasumbalesa, and rehabilitation of Ishuko Council Offices in Lubengele.

Speaking during the contract signing ceremony, Chililabombwe Municipal Council Town Clerk Mrs. Shilla Songolo congratulated the local contractors for successfully securing the contracts.

The Town Clerk urged the contractors to deliver quality works within the agreed timelines.

Mrs. Songolo further disclosed that the Council will finance the construction of the cassava market shelter and rehabilitation of Ishuko Council Offices using locally generated revenue.

She added that the installation of solar street lights from the Fire Brigade to Kawama Township along Kawama Road will be funded through Sector Grant.

The projects are expected to improve service delivery, enhance business activities, and promote public safety in the district.
