The Zambia Revenue Authority (ZRA) Chingola office has today, 30th July 2025, conducted a Taxpayers Workshop in which was held at Starlight executive lodge drawing participation from a wide range of stakeholders, including District Commissioner Mr. Kelly Jibinga, Civic Leaders, the Director of Finance Mrs. Sikazwe, and Mr. Mabvuto Masiye, who represented the Town Clerk Mrs. Shilla Songolo.


The workshop aimed to enhance tax awareness and compliance, especially among local contractors and beneficiaries of the Constituency Development Fund (CDF).
Speaking during the event, District Commissioner Mr. Kelly Jibinga emphasized the importance of cultivating a culture of tax compliance, particularly among local contractors who benefit from government-funded projects like the CDF.

“I wish to call upon all our local contractors and entrepreneurs in the district to embrace the culture of paying tax. This is not just a legal obligation, but a patriotic contribution towards national development,” Mr. Jibinga said.
He further highlighted that taxes form the backbone of government revenue, enabling the continued rollout of massive development projects across the country.
Meanwhile. Mavuto Masiye, who represented the Town Clerk, commended ZRA for organizing the workshop, describing it as timely and well-structured. “We are grateful to ZRA for bringing this initiative to our district and ensuring the inclusion of Civic Leaders, who play a vital role in recommending beneficiaries of CDF,” he stated.

participants engaged with ZRA officials on a question and answer session and the event closed with a call for continued partnership between government institutions and the Zambia Revenue Authority in driving the national development agenda through effective revenue mobilization.
